2013 Prom - What's HOT
I wish I was going to this year! The dresses definitely set a "Sweet and Sassy"!
What's hot this prom?
Bright vibrant colors, and also so soft whispering colors, whites and nudes. Sparkling sequin, stunning bead work, shimmery embellishments and jewels! From magical ombre tulles to fun printed dresses such as florals and animal prints. Even feather dresses are hot this year!
Flirtatious cutout and illusion dresses, dramatically high slits and sexy one shoulder to incredibly dazzling long short dresses, some of which are rompers. I even saw a few jumpers! Can you believe it? Both short and long dresses are hot, but the hottest of hot this year are high low dresses. Hanky hems, corkscrew and ruffles... So pretty and playful.
I don't know how anyone can pick only "one" dress this prom, there are so many wonderful ones to pick from. I tried to pick out a few to show off, but I couldn't! It was impossible for me. Hair Scrunchies! Handmade! Crocheted!
Yesterday I added some handmade hair scrunchies for order on my facebook page. I haven't added them to my Etsy Shoppe but they can still be ordered and purchased from my facebook page. I crocheted them with soft yarn in bright vibrant colors. I used super stretchy elastic unlike the ones in the stores.

I can make them in in solid colors too without the white trim, or I can make them all white. Blonde to Burgundy - Update
Wow, It's been so long since I updated. I'm very sorry for that. Life happened. Long story short -- We moved ... from California to Ohio. It took me a few months to settle in. But now I am back n noticed I never updated on the blonde to burgundy post... So here it is :P
While still in California I asked a good friend of mine to dye my hair (whom I so miss dearly) ... I had no idea how to do it since I never had it done before. After it was done it turned out to be a pretty peachy pink color.

But sadly it didn't stay :( It washed out pretty quick
I was so upset that it didn't last ... I asked around to see what others used to dye theirs ... So I picked the most talked about and dyed it again ... And it turned out so so dark but I loved the color too!
It faded so bad bad ... and I was forever touching up the roots. I never knew how fast my hair grew!
After a month or so I decided to cut my hair to my shoulders. Honestly I hated it!! I will NEVER cut my hair short again :( Anyways so I decided to dye it again after deciding I wouldn't ..

My hair is growing out some n I haven't dyed it since. It's just too much up keep ... I was touching it up every other week. So sad ... I loved LOVEDDDDDD my burgundy hair.

P.S. My daughter had to dye hers too ....
She got her hair cut short too ...
Now hers has grown out a bit too
PS I made that headband ... But that's another blog post LOL

Blonde to Burgundy!
This evening a friend will be dying my hair. I'm a lil scared as I have never had my hair dyed before. So this is a HUGE thing for me ... I'm blonde now and will be dying it burgundy. I hope it will look ok and I hope I'll like it! I'll post a picture of it within a few days .. only if I like it though .. LOL ;)
