DIY RocksTar

I was on you tube and ran across a video on how to stud your heels. And I thought "That is so rockstar!!" ... And that's how I got the idea to do a whole DIY Rockstar post... I hope you have fun with this! :)

THE Shoes - Nothing more I can say about them... So freakin' Rockstar!

Ripped stockings - I thought this rocked! I really love the ending when she makes them into sleeves! That totally rocked! Depending if you wear them on your legs .. You can do the 10 Second Skirt below ... Or if you wear them as sleeves you can use a black tank top with the Deconstructed Denim Jeans listed below.

10 Second Skirt - Really? So Rockstar!

Reconstructed Shirt - I seen so many videos for these, but I really like this one the best. It's totally Rockstar! This would rock with the jeans or the skirt! If you wear this, don't wear it with the ripped stocking sleeves .. lol That would be way too much going on all at once...

Deconstructed Denim Jeans - You're not Rockstar unless you have a pair .. really!

Now that you have your totally Rockin' Outfit ... Lets do your make-up, hair and nails!

Totally Sexy Eyeshadow ... I really love this look! Of course I love glitter!

Totally Rockin' Red Lips!

Nothing says Rockstar more than a Fauxhawk Mohawk! Totally rockin hair!

Black and Red Glitter Nails - Totally Rockin'!

The Rockstar look is supposed to look thrown together .. So I thought these earrings would be prefect!

Make most of your outfit black .. but stick one red item in it. Maybe your skirt can be the red item, or your skirt or tank top. Or dress in all black and have your heels red. If red isn't your thing, you can use purple or blue instead. Whatever color you choose, make your glittery eyeshadow match with it!

I hope you enjoyed this blog post ... ROCK ON!

Sock Curls

Last night my daughter and I was talking about during her hair for her Birthday which is also picture day at her school. She wants me to braid her hair in 4 or 5 big braids and then go over it with a flat iron. I seen this on Pinterest and wow .. it was so pretty! Since she was going to take a shower, I couldn't because her hair would be wet. I asked if she wanted me to try to sock roll her hair. Which I never did/tried before,  but I watched a video on you tube (see below). So I did and I thought I would try it too on my hair lol I rolled her hair with two pairs of socks just like the video below but her hair was wet ... And then I rolled mine with 5 socks but my hair was dry and I sprayed it like they did in the video. I rolled mine in a spirl motion (vertical) and switched between rolling towards my face and away from my face. My daughters hair turned out really pretty ... but it was still wet, not damp but wet. But it was still pretty. It gave her huge waves in her hair. Mine on one side fell out while I was sleeping lol and the other side was so curly .. So it's in a ponytail looking like .. well .. you know :O| lol Mind was really hard to roll because my hair is in layers. I think it would be best to do it on damp hair, not totally wet like my daughters was and not just misted like mine was. So I am going to try it like that next time!

Chalk Streak Highlights

I've seen girls with pretty colorful streaks in their hair and ran across a video a few weeks ago and figured thats how they are doing it! I never tried this but I do want to! I think it's a really cute idea....and it's temporary, which is great and it's harmless to your hair. If I ever try it I'll post a pic to show yas. I have blonde hair so it should be bolder/brighter on me ... I hope ;)

I recommend sweeping the chalk in a downwards motion, not back and forth like they did in this video. Also make sure the chalk you use isn't oil based. You can do the ends like they did .. or just a few streaks on the one side of your head or maybe just a few streaks in your bangs/fringe. You can try 3 different colored strps and then braid them ... Just be creative :)
